Abstract

Abstract The advent of multimedia data has revolutionized the way information is presented and consumed. However, efficiently retrieving relevant multimedia content remains a significant challenge. This paper explores the emerging field of text-multimedia retrieval, which leverages natural language processing techniques to retrieve multimedia data based on textual queries. We delve into various methodologies, including text-based image and video retrieval, multimodal fusion techniques, and deep learning approaches for enhancing retrieval accuracy. Additionally, we discuss challenges such as semantic gap and scalability, along with future directions for research in this domain.
