Abstract
This protocol provides a detailed description of a virtual, systematic, and semi-automatic approach for acquiring standardized cross-sectional images from five human long bones: the femur, tibia, radius, humerus, and ulna. The workflow supports both volumetric and surface-mesh input representations and uses the OrientCSG R package to automate the main geometric operations required for section location and orientation.
