Abstract

In the field of athletic training, increasing attention is being paid to flywheel training. Although previous studies suggest that this training modality may contribute to improvements in athletic performance, the available evidence has been derived predominantly from heterogeneous groups of athletes. Objective. To synthesize evidence from systematic reviews and meta-analyses on the effectiveness of flywheel training in healthy athletes. Methods. This umbrella review will be conducted in accordance with the methodological recommendations of the Cochrane Handbook, and the report will be prepared using the PRIOR guideline. The literature search will be conducted in the Cochrane Library, eLibrary, Google Scholar, PubMed, ResearchGate, and Research4Life. Studies published over approximately the past five years will be considered (search period: September 15, 2021, to October 6, 2026).
